Hi Jonathan,

I'm looking for a (good!) choir here in Jordan - is there anywhere I could get some info about you guys? I'm looking for something small-ish, with interesting repertoire and youngish people (I'm 30).

Thanks!

Another awesome experience, dear, ably recounted as usual. Wish I'd been there to witness it! Looks like you all had a good time, as well. I cannot assess its quality, but one may read an English translation of the Zahret al-Madain lyrics at http://www.allthelyrics.com/forum/arabic-lyrics-translation/41833-fairouz-ya-zahrat-al-madayn.html

Thanks for posting! I love how you describe the experience. This was so much fun to read:)

On a side note, Zahrat Al Madaen was composed by the Rahbani Brothers (Assi, who became Fairouz's husband, and his brother Mansour). The brothers wrote most of their music for Fairouz to perform, and the three became one one the most famous musical teams of the Arab world.
